Greene County Chamber and Tourism’s festival organization and planning committee has announced the 2019 Bell Tower Festival is set for June 7-9.
Since Aug. 22, a combination of past Bell Tower Festival chairs, festival committee chairs, Chamber directors and Chamber board presidents have been meeting with the present Chamber board about the 2019 Bell Tower Festival and future festivals to help re-set the organizational structure of the festival, allowing it to continue to be a success in future years.
As the present chamber board began the preliminary planning for festival 2019, communication was sent to past Bell Tower Festival chairs, festival committee chairs, Chamber directors and Chamber board presidents. Those who responded and were able to come to the introductory meeting were Doug Rieder, Pete Russell, Shelly Berger, Don Van Gilder, Ann Ostendorf, Clay Ross, Peg Raney, Craig Hertel, Amy Milligan, Angie Gingery, Carole Custer and Jean Feldmann.
A Festival alumni group was formed as an advisory committee to aid in organizing and planning the Bell Tower Festival. Acting chair for the festival alumni committee is Doug Rieder. This group will work in cooperation and collaboration with the Chamber board as plans are made for the 2019 festival and future festivals.
The Bell Tower Festival was put in place to give Jefferson and the surrounding communities a celebration that would be family oriented as well as profitable for all involved. There has been great dialogue, history, purpose and lessons learned as the leadership team has gathered and discussed the 2019 festival and future festivals.
